about me

I'm Maggie, a User Experience designer based in Singapore. As an architecturally-trained designer, I bring my attention-to-detail and understanding of people, culture and context to create digital experiences that are intuitive, innovative and impactful.

As an adaptable and empathetic designer, I love having conversations, listening to peoples stories and understanding their needs and what drives them.

my story

June 2023 - Now

Driven by a burning curiosity to discover if UX Design truly resonated with my passion, I decided to enroll with CuriousCore, a 4-month UX design bootcamp.

I have since worked with various clients (B2B & B2C) to solve their unique business challenges, that involves product discovery, conducting user interviews, crafting surveys, guerilla research, usability testing, and producing wireframes, low to mid fidelity prototypes.

I am currently working as a Service Designer, looking at optimising employee experiences and streamlining workflows.

December 2020 - Now

Since graduating from architecture school, I have worked in small to large architectural firms, both local and international. My role involves resolving design issues to improve spatial experiences, generating and presenting design proposals for client reviews, cross-functional team collaborations with engineers and BIM modellers.

As our world becomes increasingly digital, I began to see the profound impact that well-designed digital environments have on our lives. This developed a natural desire in me to couple my knowledge of physical experience design with that of the digital realm, with user-centricity at the forefront.

2015 - 2020

I graduated in 2020 (covid graduate!) with a Master in Architecture (Professional) - First Class Honours at University of Auckland. Living and studying in New Zealand for 5 years gave me the opportunity to immerse myself in a culture vastly different from my home in Singapore. It was a journey of discovery, growth, and adaptation, one that has left an indelible mark on my perspective and outlook.
